Joseph Conte

Joseph Conte is a Professor in the Department of English at the University at Buffalo, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. His research focuses on postmodern literature, transnational narratives, and the interplay between literature and science. He has held significant roles such as SUNY Senior Fellow and University at Buffalo Humanities Institute Faculty Research Fellow, reflecting his academic prominence.

Conte's work examines themes like migration, post-9/11 fiction, and multimodal literature. His publications include influential monographs such as Transnational Politics in the Post-9/11 Novel (2020) and Design and Debris: A Chaotics of Postmodern American Fiction (2002).
