Joselina Cheng

Joselina Cheng is a Professor of Information Systems & Operations Management at the University of Central Oklahoma's College of Business. She holds a D.B.A. in Leadership from University of Phoenix (2012) and has 20+ years of IT industry experience as a project manager and business analyst. Her research focuses on innovative e-teaching methodologies, STEM education pathways, and government-industry-university partnerships. She has secured over $1.75M in grants from NSF and state agencies, created hundreds of e-learning tools, and published 21 peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Cheng is a Transformative Learning Scholar and Service-Learning Scholar, recognized with awards including the Neely Excellence in Teaching Award (2016) and multiple NSF grants.

Education: D.B.A. (2012), MBA (1989), B.S. Computer Science/Accounting (1985) all from University of Central Oklahoma. Teaching focuses on Management Information Systems and Business Analysis, incorporating mobile apps and cloud-based tutorials. She mentors dozens of undergraduate/graduate students and serves as an online course evaluator for UCO CeCE.

Research highlights include AI-powered sustainability models, gender equity in STEM, and forensic analytics education. Over 15 grants submitted and awarded, with emphasis on bridging education-industry gaps. Community involvement includes AI trainings for teachers and tribal communities, and leadership in DEI initiatives.
