Long Cheng is an Associate Professor at Clemson University's School of Computing, specializing in cybersecurity, IoT security, and machine learning for abuse detection. His work focuses on securing voice assistants, CPS/IoT systems, and network protocols. He holds dual PhDs from Virginia Tech (2018) and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (2012), with postdoctoral research at Singapore University of Technology and Design (2015) and A*STAR (2012–2015).
