Jose Gomariz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on José Martí, Modernismo, Cuban Studies, and diaspora-related cultural identity in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has co-edited a collective book on José Martí and Modernismo, directed special journal issues on Cuban diaspora themes, and authored a monograph on cultural colonialism. His work appears in major international journals across the U.S., Spain, and Latin America.
