Prof. Jos Akkermans is a Full Professor of Sustainable Careers at the School of Business and Economics, VU Amsterdam. He leads research on career shocks, employability, and non-standard career paths, with a focus on enhancing career sustainability. As program director of the Business Administration Master’s program, he teaches courses like Contemporary Careers and Organizations. His editorial roles include Associate Editor of the Journal of Vocational Behavior and past leadership in the Academy of Management Careers Division.
