Stef Bouwhuis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is a core researcher on the DYNANSE project investigating career trajectories of workers with flexible contracts. His research focuses on meso and macro-level influences on employment conditions, particularly temporary and on-call contracts' effects on health, well-being, and labor market transitions. Previously, he worked as a policy researcher in The Hague and holds a PhD in Epidemiology from VU Amsterdam, alongside multiple master's degrees in Urban Planning and Political Science from Radboud University.
