José R. (Beto) Juárez Jr. is a Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law. He previously served as Dean of the college from 2020 to 2024 and held leadership roles at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and St. Mary’s University School of Law.

Juárez's research focuses on Employment Discrimination, Language Rights, Legal History, and intersections of Race and Religion with the Law. His work emphasizes legal inclusivity and civil rights, reflecting his career in poverty and civil rights law.
He co-founded the Deans’ Diversity Council and the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, and currently serves as Co-President of the Society of American Law Teachers (SALT). Juárez has also chaired the Board of Directors of the Journal of Law and Religion and the Council on Religion and the Law.
