James D. Wilets is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean of International Programs at Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law. He also serves as Chair of the Inter-American Center for Human Rights.

He has extensive professional experience, including drafting UN human rights reform proposals, leading international missions in Liberia and Romania, and co-founding the Shepard Broad Law Center for International and Comparative Law.
