Jori Maylin Marx

Jori Maylin Marx is a Researcher at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig, affiliated with the Department of Special Botany and Functional Biodiversity. Her work focuses on biodiversity theory and global change impacts on ecosystems.

Education: BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges (Leiden University College, The Hague, Netherlands, 2011-2014); Joint MSc in Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy (University College Dublin, Ireland & Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany, 2014-2016).

Research interests include modeling nutrient dynamics, population responses to global change, and functional biodiversity. She coordinated the 'Fact Check Biodiversity' initiative since 2021. Her doctoral thesis (2016-2021) explored nutrient and population dynamics under global change scenarios.
