W. Stanley Harpole

Professor W. Stanley Harpole serves as Department Head of Physiological Diversity at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) in Leipzig, Germany. He holds joint appointments at the Helmholtz-Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) and Martin-Luther-Universität-Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). As Co-Speaker of iDiv and a member of the DFG Plant Sciences Panel, Professor Harpole plays a significant leadership role in biodiversity research across Germany and internationally.
