Stan Harpole

Prof. Stan Harpole is a Professor and Department Head of Physiological Diversity at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) in Leipzig, with joint appointments at Helmholtz-Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) and Martin-Luther-Universität-Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). His research focuses on biodiversity theory, ecosystem ecology, and global change impacts, particularly in grassland and soil systems. He leads the Physiological Diversity Team and co-speaks the iDiv research platform.
