Christian Wirth

Christian Wirth is a Professor at Leipzig University, where he serves as Director of the Botanical Garden and heads the Special Botany and Functional Biodiversity Group. He is also the founding director of the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle-Jena-Leipzig. His research integrates botany and plant ecology with species conservation, focusing on biodiversity-ecosystem functioning relationships in terrestrial ecosystems.
