Jorge Duitama

Jorge Duitama is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, where he has been employed since 2018. He previously held a Visiting Professor position at the same institution from 2016 to 2018. His academic and professional journey includes roles as a Researcher in Bioinformatics at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) (2012–2016) and a Postdoc in Bioinformatics at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2011–2012).

He completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Connecticut (2007–2010), a Magister in Systems Engineering (2003–2004), and a Bachelor of Systems and Computing Engineering (1998–2002) at Universidad de los Andes.
