Jordi Fraxedas

Jordi Fraxedas is a CSIC Scientific Researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Stuttgart (1990) and has held academic and research positions at institutions including CERN, ESRF, and CNRS. His research focuses on interfacial phenomena and surface science of inorganic and molecular materials, utilizing synchrotron radiation-based spectroscopies and scanning probe microscopies. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed articles and multiple books, including Molecular Materials: Preparation, Characterization and Applications.

His work bridges fundamental research with applied nanotechnology solutions for environmental and biomedical challenges.
