Jordan Nash is a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Science at Monash University. He specializes in experimental particle physics, focusing on Higgs boson physics, lepton flavour violation, and advanced particle detector technology. His research includes contributions to the COMET experiment, which seeks to observe muon-to-electron conversion, and collaborations with the CMS experiment at the LHC.
Affiliations: Dean of Faculty of Science, Monash University; Chief Investigator for the COMET Phase-I project (2020–2023).
Research Interests: His work bridges theoretical and experimental particle physics, emphasizing precision measurements, detector systems design, and high-energy phenomenology. Key areas include searching for physics beyond the Standard Model, analyzing top quark properties, and advancing machine-learning techniques in particle identification.
Advisory Roles: Chair of CERN's SPSC committee since 2017, and former member of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (UK) and Old Oak Park Royal Development Corporation advisory boards.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Monash High Energy Physics group and the CMS collaboration, contributing to detector development and data analysis.
