Jordan Lins

Jordan Lins serves as an Instructor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communication Disorders at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center's School of Allied Health Professions, where she teaches advanced neurogenic communication courses including Neurogenic Communication Disorders I & II and Motor Speech Disorders.

Her educational background features:

Dr. Lins' research program investigates acoustical characterization and eye-tracking methodologies for objective measurement of reading prosody in neurotypical individuals and those with aphasia/alexia, while examining relationships between prosody skills and comprehension. Her clinical scholarship extends to person-centered aphasia treatment, social determinants of health impacts on rehabilitation outcomes, and pedagogical innovations like standards-based grading in higher education.

She maintains active clinical credentials through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certification (since March 2018), Louisiana Board of Examiners licensure (since July 2024), and Arizona Department of Health Services certification (since August 2022).

Dr. Lins contributes to institutional governance through service on SAHP Grants & Research Committee, Engagement Committee, COMD Admissions Committee, and Thesis Committee, while advancing clinical practice in aphasia assessment/treatment with special focus on alexia and motor speech disorders including apraxia of speech.
