Jordan Donini is a Professor of Biology at Florida Southwestern State College, affiliated with the School of Pure and Applied Sciences and the Collier Campus Honors Scholar Program. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University and an M.S. in Biology with a Comparative Vertebrate Eco-physiology focus from Southeastern Louisiana University.

His research centers on the life history, spatial ecology, and reproductive biology of herpetofauna, particularly turtles in the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Slope of Costa Rica, and Florida. Recent work explores invasive species impacts, algal epiphytes in terrapins, and hormonal cycles in nesting diamondback terrapins.
Recent publications (2021–2024) span topics in reproductive endocrinology, habitat selection, and invasive species management, with a focus on coastal ecosystems and terrapin conservation. Collaborative studies highlight field techniques like telemetry and population monitoring.
He chairs the Center of Undergraduate Research & Creativity and the South Florida Herpetology Conference, and serves as an Associate Editor for Reptiles and Amphibians journal. Courses taught include General Biology, Survey of Biology, and Honors Capstone courses in Wildlife Research Techniques.
