Jonny Glen is a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Sciences at Abertay University, focusing on coaching, sport psychology, and applied sport science. He also works as an Academy Coach and Head of Youth Football Science at Dundee FC, with UEFA A & B and Elite Youth A licenses.
- Education: PG Cert in Higher Education (Abertay, 2015), MSc in Sports Coaching (Stirling, 2012), BA (Hons) in Sports Studies and Psychology (Stirling, 2011)
Research Interests include coach education, behavioral change in sports, and wellbeing. His work explores how technology and training programs enhance coaching efficacy and athlete performance, particularly in golf and youth sports.
Knowledge Exchange involves delivering CPD to coaches and collaborating with Dundee Academy of Sport to support disadvantaged communities. His datasets on golf engagement during the pandemic and caddie health have been published in Frontiers and Journal of Physical Activity and Health.
