Jonathon Mohl is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His research focuses on bioinformatic analysis of large biological datasets using high-performance computing, with applications in population genetics and cancer genomics. He develops computational pipelines and software tools to manage and analyze high-throughput data, while also mentoring students and faculty in Python programming and computational techniques through UTEP, the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), and XSEDE resources.
