Jonathon Lohnes is an Assistant Professor of Management and Business at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY. His interdisciplinary work bridges Business History, Public Health, and Colonial/Postcolonial Studies, with a focus on the Modern Middle East & North Africa.
His research explores intersections of state formation, geopolitical economy, and occupational malignancies. He teaches courses like MB 306: Foundations of Business in the International Environment, emphasizing international economics & politics and social scientific approaches to biomedicine.
Notable publications include analyses of Ottoman colonialism in Libya, Sanusi resistance in the Sahara, and fascist-era geopolitical dynamics.
