Jonathan Zong

Jonathan Zong is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado, starting in fall 2025. He holds a PhD from MIT's Visualization Group and combines computer science with visual art to re-imagine socio-technical systems.

• Research Interests: Co-designing non-visual data exploration interfaces with blind collaborators; ethical frameworks for social media data collection.
• Awards: MIT Morningside Academy for Design Fellowship, Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship, Forbes 30 Under 30 recognition.
• Art Exhibitions: Featured at MIT's Wiesner Gallery, Marcel Broodthaers Society of America, and Centre National du Graphisme.
