Rachel Haidu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Rochester, where she also directs the Graduate Program in Visual and Cultural Studies. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary art, with an emphasis on Eastern European postwar art, critical theory, gender studies, and visual culture. She has held prestigious fellowships including the Sterling Clark Fellowship and Whiting Doctoral Fellowship, and her work bridges art history, philosophy, and social critique.
