Jonathan Y. Tan is The Archbishop Paul J. Hallinan Professor in Catholic Studies at Case Western Reserve University and an Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies. He is also affiliated with the Ethnic Studies program, specializing in Asian/Asian American and Chinese/Chinese American studies.

His editorial contributions, including World Christianity: Perspectives and Insights (2016) and Theological Reflections on the Hong Kong Umbrella Movement (2016), highlight his interdisciplinary approach.
