Jonathan Wipplinger is Associate Professor of German and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's College of Letters and Science. As German Program Coordinator, he teaches courses on German civilization, literature, and global German language applications.
His research explores 19th-21st century German literature and culture with specialization in Weimar Republic studies, jazz history, African-American cultural representation in Germany, and media interrelationships. Key works examine transatlantic cultural exchanges through music and visual media.
