Jonathan Sheehan is a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, Department of History, specializing in cultural and intellectual history of early modern Europe. He directs the Berkeley Center for the Study of Religion and has held prestigious fellowships including the Frederick Burkhardt Fellowship (ACLS) and a National Endowment for the Humanities Collaborative Research Grant.
