Jonathan Reynolds is an Associate Professor in Retail Marketing and Deputy Dean (External Relations) at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He serves as Deputy Director of the ESRC-funded GeoDS initiative and has been Academic Director of the Oxford Institute of Retail Management since 1999. His roles include Governing Body Fellow and Vice-Principal at Green Templeton College, Oxford, and membership on the editorial board of the International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research.
His research focuses on retail sector dynamics, particularly electronic commerce, omni-channel retailing, innovation/entrepreneurship, and the role of place in marketing. He collaborates with international retail associations and policymakers, contributing insights to media outlets like BBC, The Times, and Wall Street Journal. His work integrates geographic data analysis through GeoDS and has led major ESRC projects such as the Retail Industry Business Engagement Cluster (RIBEN).
