Dr. Jonathan Pinto is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Negotiations at the Imperial College Business School, part of Imperial College London. He holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce and Law from the University of Mumbai, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on the 'dark side of organizational behavior,' including corruption, whistle-blowing, workplace aggression, and employee deviance. His work has been published in top journals like Academy of Management Review and Group & Organization Management. He has won multiple teaching awards, including the Dean's Teaching Award (2014) and the Teaching Excellence Award (2015).
Prior to academia, he worked at Procter & Gamble, Andersen Consulting, and Clarion Advertising, and led his own consulting firm. He has advised over 50 organizations across six countries. Pinto also served as visiting faculty at the Indian School of Business and London Business School, and is a Trustee of Kensington & Chelsea Citizens Advice.
His research emphasizes systemic corruption, ethical leadership, and workplace dynamics. Notable contributions include analyzing fraud typologies across cultures and exploring metaphors in organizational communication. He integrates industry experience with academic rigor, addressing real-world organizational challenges through empirical studies and theoretical frameworks.
