Dr. Jonathan Mathews is a Professor of Energy and Mineral Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, specializing in coal science, molecular modeling, and CO2 sequestration. He focuses on the relationship between coal structure and behavior, utilizing atomistic representations and advanced analytical techniques in collaborations across China, South Africa, and Australia.
