Jonathan Lee

Dr. Jonathan Lee is a Lecturer in Finance at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, specializing in applied financial economics with a focus on banking and climate risk. He joined the university in 2022 following an MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from Lancaster University and a PhD in Finance from the University of Bristol.

Research Interests: His work examines private sector solutions to financial safety nets, ESG/CSR impacts on banks, climate risk implications for property values and banking, and litigation risk in lending. He contributes to the School's Finance research cluster.

Publications: Recent studies include analyses of subsidized flood insurance's effects on real estate markets (Journal of Risk and Insurance, 2024) and private deposit insurance's role in moral hazard (Journal of Financial Intermediation, 2022).
