Dr. Jonathan Koffman is a Visiting Professor of Palliative Care at King's College London, affiliated with the Cicely Saunders Institute within the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. He holds roles as Education Executive Lead and Chair of Quality for the Education Academy of King’s Health Partners. Previously, he served as Dean for Postgraduate Teaching in the School of Medicine (2008–2013) and Course Director for the MSc in Palliative Care until 2018.

- Research Interests: Palliative care equity, cultural and ethnic influences on healthcare, advance care planning, and end-of-life care policy.
His research focuses on reducing disparities in end-of-life care for marginalized groups, including ethnic minorities and those with neurodegenerative diseases. Notable projects include studies on pandemic care equity (CovPall) and advance care planning for multiple sclerosis patients. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to textbooks on palliative medicine.
He leads initiatives like the ImproveCare trial to manage clinical uncertainty in hospitals and collaborates globally on healthcare policy. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered outcomes.
