Dr. Jonathan Hardman is a Senior Lecturer in Company and Commercial Law at the Edinburgh Law School, University of Edinburgh. He serves as Director of External Relations, Co-Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, and CPD Coordinator. His research focuses on commercial law (particularly rights in security), company law (especially private companies), and law and economics methodology.

Research Interests include corporate law theory, secured transactions, corporate governance, and Scots law applications. Recent work examines floating charges, corporate purpose reform, and empirical studies of UK private company dynamics.
