Jonathan Greenberg is a Professor of English at Montclair State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He specializes in English-language modernism (British, Irish, and American), satire, Darwin and literature, James Joyce, and literary theory. He holds a BA from Harvard University, MA and PhD from Princeton University.
His research includes two monographs: *Modernism, Satire, and The Novel* (2011) and *The Cambridge Introduction to Satire* (2019). He co-edited a collection on Aldous Huxley's *Brave New World* (2016) and co-authored popular works *Mobituaries* (2019) and *Roctogenarians* (2024) with Mo Rocca. His teaching spans modernist literature surveys, utopian/dystopian fiction, and introductory courses.
Research interests emphasize satirical forms in modernism, interdisciplinary connections between literature and science, and 20th-century narrative innovations. His recent articles explore topics like Joyce's narrative techniques, Huxley's dystopian legacy, and the intersection of satire with economic theory.
