Jonathan Fram is an Associate Professor (Senior Research) at Oregon State University's College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), serving as Project Manager for the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) Endurance Array. His research focuses on environmental fluid mechanics and the physical processes influencing nutrient dynamics in marine ecosystems. He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley, followed by postdoctoral work at UC Santa Barbara and the University of Hawaii. His career includes roles as a systems engineer for OOI (2011-2018) and contributions to the Kilo Nalu Cabled Observatory. Fram’s work emphasizes cross-national collaboration and innovative data practices for ocean observation systems.
