Jonathan Ferguson

Jonathan Ferguson is Assistant Professor of Game Design and Production in Champlain College's Division of Communication & Creative Media. With 27+ years in technology development spanning cybersecurity, software engineering, and game development, his teaching focuses on game design principles, development pipelines, and historical preservation of interactive media. He founded Champlain's Game History Collection—a preservation initiative maintaining playable historical game hardware/software—and advises the Free and Open Source Technology Club.

Key Initiatives:

• Games Testing Lab: Supervising weekly student-led game testing sessions across multiple platforms
• Open Source Advocacy: Promoting software/hardware freedom through student-led technology projects
