Jonathan Campbell is Assistant Professor of New Testament Studies and Chair of Religious Studies at Burman University. His research focuses on Greek New Testament interpretation, textual criticism, and biblical backgrounds. Campbell earned a PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary, with prior pastoral and missionary experience informing his academic work.
His scholarship examines manuscript traditions, linguistic analysis of New Testament texts, and theological themes in Hebrews and Revelation. Recent publications demonstrate methodological innovation in textual criticism, including paratextual analysis of Codex Koridethi and evaluation of the Teststellen method for manuscript comparison.
Campbell maintains active participation in academic conferences, presenting research on Lucan creativity, Johannine adversarial figures, and textual problems in Matthew. His work connects technical textual analysis with theological interpretation, serving both academic and religious communities through rigorous engagement with biblical manuscripts and contexts.
