Jonathan Boymal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics Finance & Marketing at RMIT University. His research focuses on housing and urban economics, cultural economics, population economics, and technology diffusion. He has published in leading journals and conducted policy research for Victorian and Federal Governments. He teaches courses in applied economics, macroeconomics, and environmental economics.
- Research Interests: Housing affordability, urban planning, economic psychology, health economics.
- Teaching: Economics of Information and Networks, Business and Economic Analysis, Macroeconomics, Environmental Economics.
- Grants/Projects: Economic benefits of ‘20-minute neighbourhoods’, policy analysis for the arts sector, and studies on housing quality in Vietnam.
He is open to supervising PhD/Masters students and collaborates on projects involving urban sustainability and policy evaluation. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Health), 8 (Economic Growth), and 11 (Sustainable Cities).
