Jonas Nickel

Jonas Nickel is a doctoral researcher affiliated with EHESS Paris and Humboldt University of Berlin. He works at the Marc Bloch Center since October 2024 and specializes in French literature, interwar period history, and Franco-German cultural transfers.

Education
• 2019: BA in French and German Philology, Freie Universität Berlin
• 2023: Master’s in European French and Francophone Studies, Humboldt University / Université Paris 3

Research Focus includes the intersection of literary truth production, antisemitism, and cultural dynamics in interwar France. His work aligns with the "Critical Thinking in the Plural" research group and explores how literature engages with social and political discourse.

Publications include a 2025 review of Wolfgang Asholt’s theory of avant-garde movements and an analysis of Céline’s literary strategies in the interwar context.
