Emmanuel Delille

Emmanuel Delille is a historian of science affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in Berlin and serves as an Associate Researcher at the Centre d’Archives en Philosophie, Histoire et Édition des Sciences (CAPHÉS, École Normale Supérieure, Paris) and the Centre Marc Bloch (Humboldt University, Berlin). He earned his doctorate in History from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris) in 2008, focusing on the history of the French medical encyclopedia, the Encyclopédie Médico-Chirurgicale (EMC), 1947–1977.

• Primary Research Areas: History of psychiatry, psychiatric epidemiology, transcultural psychiatry, medical history, comparative intellectual networks, and archival methodologies.
