Jonas Hagedorn

Jonas Hagedorn is a Junior Professor of Social Ethics at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, Ruhr University Bochum, since October 1, 2022. His work bridges Christian social ethics, social theory, and welfare research.

• Research focuses on solidaristic foundations of Christian social ethics, social philosophies, theories of justice, and caregiving systems.
• Active member of international networks, including the International Association for Moral Theology and Social Ethics (IVMS) and editorial boards.

Scientific Recognition:

• 2017 Faculty Prize of TU Darmstadt for best dissertation in Social and Historical Sciences.
