Jonas Björk is an Associate Professor and Head of Unit at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (IFM) at Linköping University. He holds a Docent title in Materials Science and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool (2011) and a Master's in Physics from Göteborg University (2007). His research focuses on 2D materials synthesis, surface chemistry, and catalysis, particularly exploring novel methods for creating ultrathin materials with applications in energy storage and nanotechnology. Recent work includes groundbreaking advancements in on-surface polymerization and MXene-based materials. He has secured significant grants, including VR grants for IFM researchers.
