Jonas Biel, MA is a PhD candidate and researcher at the Institute of Political Science, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He focuses on European identities, sports politics, and quantitative social research. His work explores how football fandom influences transnational social cohesion and European integration. Biel is affiliated with the FANZinE research project examining football's role in fostering social cohesion across Europe. He teaches Basic Seminar in International Relations and advises on MA theses.
