Dr. Jon Stavres is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Southern Mississippi. He focuses on cardiovascular control and autonomic regulation in healthy adults and chronic disease populations.
- Education: BS and MS in Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, PhD in Exercise Physiology from Kent State University, and Postdoctoral Fellowship at Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute.
His research examines hemodynamic responses to exercise, metabolic syndrome, and skeletal muscle oxygenation, with publications in Frontiers in Physiology and European Journal of Applied Physiology (2023).
