Jon Phillips

Jon Phillips is an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut's School of Social Work. As a licensed social worker with extensive clinical experience, he focuses on children, adolescents, and families within child welfare systems. His research examines interprofessional and interagency collaboration to improve child and family outcomes. He teaches courses in the Individuals, Groups, and Families concentration.

His research centers on systemic improvements through collaborative frameworks in child welfare, workforce development, and service integration. Key interests include organizational coordination models, policy implementation, and multidisciplinary approaches to family support.

Dr. Phillips maintains active engagement in translating research into practice to address complex child welfare challenges.
