Associate Professor Jon Drummond is an academic, composer, and sound artist at the University of Newcastle's School of Creative Industries. His work bridges music, computing, and environmental science through sonification and data visualization. He holds a PhD in interactive electro-acoustics and has led projects like 'Oratorio for a Million Souls' (environmental bee conservation) and the Bundanon mineral analysis sound installation. Current research includes using BCI devices for stress relief through sound. He has supervised 12+ students and secured over $1.8M in grants, including the ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health.
