Jon Dooley serves as Vice President for Student Life and Associate Professor of Education at Elon University. He oversees 16 departments supporting student learning, health, civic engagement, inclusive excellence, and campus residential experience. A nationally recognized student affairs leader, he has previously held administrative roles at Marquette University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- Education: Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership (Marquette University), M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology - College Student Personnel Administration (James Madison University), B.A. in History and Social Studies Education (St. Norbert College)
His research focuses on student affairs leadership, service learning, diversity initiatives, and campus engagement. He has taught courses on diversity, leadership, and cross-cultural communication at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
His publications and presentations emphasize strategic leadership, inclusive campus cultures, civic engagement, and the integration of curricular and co-curricular experiences.
