معرفی
Professor Jon Dawson is a Prof Fellow of Regenerative Medicine at the University of Southampton. He is affiliated with research groups including the Institute for Life Sciences, Centre for Human Development, Stem Cells and Regeneration, and the Bone and Joint Research Group. His work focuses on developing biomaterials and nanoclay-based therapies for tissue regeneration.
Research interests include the application of nanoclay gels in cell therapy, modulation of macrophage and stem cell responses to bioactive materials, and bone regeneration strategies. Projects span collaborations with the EPSRC, Medical Research Council, and other institutions.
- Key projects: Pioneering Renovite nanoclay gels in cell therapy.
- EPSRC-funded research on stem-cell-driven tissue regeneration.
- MRC-supported studies on macrophage responses to nanoclays.
Grants include funding from EPSRC, MRC, and Wessex Medical Research. Collaborators include Emeritus Professor Richard Oreffo and Doctor Yanghee Kim.
He contributes to interdisciplinary teams advancing regenerative medicine through smart biomaterials and drug delivery systems.
