Prof. Jon C. Lovett is a full-time Professor of Sustainable Development in a North-South Perspective at the University of Twente, Netherlands. He previously held a part-time position at the University of York until transitioning fully to Twente in 2009. He directs the IGS strategic research initiative 'SUS+' focusing on Sustainable Water, Energy, and Spatial Governance.
His expertise spans institutional economics of natural resource management, environmental policy, and sustainable development, with a focus on developing countries. Key research interests include climate change governance, biodiversity conservation, and the economics of environmental decision-making.
