Andrew Lovett is a Professor of Geography at the University of East Anglia’s School of Environmental Sciences. He holds roles as Director of Learning & Teaching and previously served as Deputy Head of School. His career includes academic and research roles since joining UEA in 1990, with expertise in GIS, catchment management, and environmental policy.
Research focuses on GIS applications, renewable energy pathways, ecosystem services, and natural capital integration. Notable projects include the Wensum Demonstration Test Catchment (2010–19) and ADVENT (2015–20). He leads initiatives like OpenCLIM_LANDS (2024–27) and collaborates with national and international organizations.
