Jolynne M Batchelor

Jolynne M. Batchelor is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington. She has been serving in this role since August 2011, teaching graduate-level courses in child and family practice, policy, and family therapy. Her academic affiliation is with the College of Science at UTA.

She is also deeply involved in implementation science to improve child welfare systems. Her work emphasizes critical thinking in safety decision-making and restoring healthy parent-child relationships after trauma.

Her recent publications and presentations reflect a strong focus on policy development and cross-cultural implications in child welfare. She has explored how scandals influence child welfare policy and contributed to the global discourse on professionalizing social work, particularly in China.

Dr. Batchelor has presented at professional conferences such as the Crimes Against Women Conference and the National Staff Development and Training Association, focusing on emerging practices for families affected by domestic violence and child protection issues, as well as enhancing tribal child welfare programs through implementation science.

She advises on practice excellence in child protective services and has held significant administrative roles in state child welfare systems.
