Dr. hab. Jolanta Bonar is a university professor at the Department of Childhood Pedagogy within the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Lodz. She has been working at the university since 1986 and currently serves as Head of the Department of Contemporary Early Education Strategies. Dr. Bonar also manages the implementation project "Model education of future preschool and early school teachers" under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020.

- 1993: Doctor of Humanities in Pedagogy from Jagiellonian University in Krakow
- 2013: Habilitated Doctor in Social Sciences in the field of Pedagogy from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań
Dr. Bonar's research focuses on two main subdisciplines: early school pedagogy and creativity pedagogy. Her work spans several interconnected thematic areas including educational theory and practice in early school pedagogy, supporting child development, methodology of creative upbringing of children and youth, and competences of early education teachers. She approaches education from both theoretical and practical perspectives, emphasizing innovative strategies for early childhood education.

As an academic leader, Dr. Bonar actively participates in doctoral school programs, supervising research and scientific development. She serves on the University of Lodz Committee for academic degrees in the disciplines of pedagogy and psychology, and is a member of evaluation committees for internal university competitions. Her organizational responsibilities include work in university collegial bodies and various faculty, senate, and rector's committees.
Dr. Bonar leads the Department of Childhood Pedagogy team, which focuses on contemporary early education strategies. Her department plays a key role in developing innovative approaches to teacher education for preschool and early school settings.
